The New Aston Martin Vantage AMR Has What Most Modern Supercars Don’t

0

A manual transmission. Yep, it has 3 pedals and a stick and a few other changes to differentiate itself from the “regular” Vantage. The main thing to note is that there will only be a total 200 of cars available in 5 colors: Sabiro Blue, Pnyx Black, China Grey, White Stone, and a special livery. This special car, known as the Vantage 59, has a Stirling Green finish with Lime colored accents to celebrate Aston Martin’s 1959 victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only 59 cars will be made in that special spec, so buyers must hurry for this highly-sought special edition. There’s still good news though. The manual transmission is going to be an option for the standard Vantage next year. Here are the rest of the specs:

  • Twin-Turbo 4.0 Liter V-8
  • 503 Horsepower (same as the standard Vantage)
  • Torque: 461 lb-ft (44 lb-ft less than the standard Vantage)
  • 0-60 time: 3.9 seconds (0.4 more than the standard Vantage)
  • 209 Pounds Lighter
  • Top Speed: 195 mph (same as the standard Vantage)
  • New Adaptive Damping System
  • New Limited-Slip Differential
  • Base MSRP: $184,995
  • Vantage 59 base MSRP: $209,995
  • Deliveries: End of 2019
